We are now building a dedicated Creative & Portfolio Design Team to produce world-class product designs, premium portfolio projects and compelling case studies.
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to lead this team.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You will work directly with the founder, mentor 2 to 3 mid-level designers, and own the team's creative direction and design quality.
We are looking for a designer who works smart. You will use AI tools every day to explore ideas faster, cut repetitive work, and spend more time on what matters most: great thinking and great craft. Speed matters to us, but never at the cost of quality.
What You Will Do
Lead and Mentor the Creative Team
- Lead and mentor a team of 2 to 3 mid-level designers
- Own the team's creative direction, design standards and output quality
- Plan and assign design tasks with clear priorities and timelines
- Run regular design reviews and give clear, helpful feedback
- Work closely with the founder to align creative work with Oripio's brand and goals
Design Exceptional SaaS and Digital Products
- Design SaaS platforms, AI products, fintech apps, dashboards, and web and mobile products
- Create user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity UI, prototypes and responsive layouts
- Build scalable design systems and reusable components
- Solve complex problems with strong UX thinking and product design principles
Use AI to Work Faster and Better
- Use AI tools daily for research, concept generation, design exploration and visual assets
- Build AI-assisted workflows that help the team deliver faster without lowering quality
- Use AI to handle repetitive work, so the team can focus on creative and strategic thinking
- Review AI output with a critical eye and refine it into polished, original, production-ready design
- Train and guide the team to use AI tools effectively in their daily work
- Stay updated with new AI design tools and bring the useful ones into our process
Build a World-Class Portfolio
- Lead premium portfolio projects for Oripio's website, Dribbble and Behance
- Turn completed client projects into clear, engaging case studies
- Create high-quality mockups, product showcases and visual presentations
- Work with motion designers to bring product showcases to life
Shape Visual Direction and Support Client Work
- Maintain a consistent, premium visual standard across all of Oripio's work
- Contribute to branding, visual identity and marketing design when needed
- Support selected client projects across SaaS, AI and fintech
- Explain design decisions clearly and prepare clean, developer-ready handoffs
Requirements
Experience and Portfolio
- 4+ years of professional experience in Product Design, UI/UX Design or Visual Product Design
- An exceptional portfolio of SaaS products, dashboards, web apps or mobile experiences
- Experience creating portfolio presentations, product showcases or case studies
Design Skills
- Advanced Figma skills: Auto Layout, components, variables, prototyping and design systems
- Strong UX and product thinking: user flows, usability and interaction design
- Exceptional visual design: typography, composition, color, spacing and hierarchy
AI Skills
- Hands-on, daily use of AI tools in your design process
- Proven ability to use AI to speed up research, ideation, exploration or asset creation
- The judgment to know when AI output is good enough, and when it needs a designer's touch
Leadership and Ownership
- Experience leading, mentoring or guiding designers through reviews and feedback
- Ability to manage projects independently, set priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication, collaboration and attention to detail
Nice to Have
- Experience leading a small design or creative team
- Experience with international SaaS startups or digital product agencies
- A strong presence on Dribbble, Behance or a personal portfolio website
- Experience with branding, graphic design and marketing assets
- Familiarity with Framer, Webflow or similar website platforms
- Understanding of motion design, micro-interactions and product animation
- Experience with AI image generation, AI prototyping or other advanced AI workflows
- Understanding of design-to-development handoff and frontend basics
